(This question applies to Community Edition)

I notice there are 2 separate cache folders:

• \Portals\0\Cache\Modules 
• \Portals\0\Cache\Pages

I assume these are to store module output caches when the File Based Caching Provider is enabled.

Can some one clarify the reason & purpose for the 2 separate folders? I have some sites where I see files in one folder only, others where I see files in the other, and some where I see files in both. I am hoping someone can save me the work of figuring out what configuration options are causing the difference :)
