I am confused as to what are the Symbols Package found at:

http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community/download

It says:

"PDB and XML files that aid in DNN module development and in DNN debugging."

I don't know what are platform symbols and what they are used for.

Could someone explain to me what they are and how to use it? i am very confused by it.
