I’ve got a
dnn scenario on a 8 ( !) years old webserver where the dnn sites are
loading 10 times faster when the app-pool is idle than the sites which are
located on a current virtual dedicated server in a datacenter of a big hosting
company.
Both IIS
and SQL Servers are configured in the same way.
Yes, there is
one difference : The old server contains a SSD drive.
But I still
think, that a DNN instance located on a modern dedicated virtial server
(Hyper-V) should load DNN sites quickly, even with common harddisks.
The IIS
configuration parts which might be important for faster loading the sites :
App-Pool :
Start Mode :
AlwaysRunning
Idle
Time-out Action : Suspend
Recycling :
Regular Time interval (minutes) : 0
On Website
Level, advanced settings :
Preload
Enabled : True
Please tell
me further possibilities to accelerate my DNN sites.
Many thanks
for your inputs.
