I have my web hosted with a provider. I am moving from ver. 5.05 to the latest using the recommended path. Because of the requirements I needed to move the site to a new set of servers which include Win8 and SQL2008 . So the hosting provider created me a new account and copied my web site and database to a new servers. The current production site will go away once the upgrade on the new one is done. Now to get started with the upgrade... I 1st wanted to check that the site was working...So when I went to the temp Domain that they gave me it opened up and then redirected me to my production site. So my questions are:
1.Is it ok to go ahead and copy the new upgrade website in and do the upgrade (so that the new site/acct. gets the upgrade)?
2. Assuming the answer to #1 is no...how do I stop the new site from redirecting to the current production site (If I can not log into the new site)?
Thanks ~ Doug
