So far I'm not impressed

Back in 2005, we were faced with DNN and had to attempt to implement it for a client as their website.

Now, 8 years later - just as terrible.

I mean, how is a user expected to set this monster up in a shared hosting environment? We've attempted at 3 different hosting providers so far, and every time we needed to make countless requests to them to go and make changes to IIS, install sql 2008, move to windows server 2008 - i mean thats ridiculous??

then when we're finally on Win2008 with SQL2008R2, we need to call them again because DNN wants changes made to app pool and other security settings need to be made.

This is absolutely appalling. I'm not a fan of Joomla(at all), but geez, at least you can get Joomla installed in 3 minutes flat!!! - windows or not!
