Is there a way to get rid of that semi-transparent overlay that obscures the page components until you mouse over them?  (when you're in Edit Mode)

It's quite distracting, and a little buggy.  For instance, when you're editing a content module, and your cursor is in the textarea, if your mouse is not hovering over the module (where it's likely to be in your way), the whole module goes gray.

I understand why it's there--to differentiate between different modules.  But I think there's an unintended consequence, in that it's very distracting.

Is there a way to turn it off?
