So here I am wondering why I haven't had any new members for some days. Upgraded from 7.0.5 to 7.1.2 and want to bring back Validation instead of public.Set it up with some more required fields and run a new test registration only to find that a) new fields are not there and b) registration fails.Tested on my test site and production. Both the same.
