I've had my first DNN website (v7) running at www.cakeparty.co.uk for the past six months. It's running on a win2008r2 VM. I few days back I noticed I was getting a http 500 error. I checked the error log file at: "C:\Websites\cakeparty.co.uk\Portals\_default\Logs" There were lots of errors but all similar - "Multiple controls with the same ID 'dnn' were found". To try and I restored a backup of the site that I made in January - this made no difference. I guess this means that the problem lies in the database?
I have a another site on the VM called dnndev.me which I created when following a tutorial. Strange thing is - this now has exactly the same problem, http500 error with the same description its log file. Since this has it's own database it's got me thinking perhaps the problem cannot be solved by a db change. Could anyone please advise what I can do to fix?
