We have configured a second DNN portal, designated portal/1/ by DNN and built the site.

Now we want to launch the site under a different alias. After making the change to the alias in DNN, the site comes up, but no images are visible, neither logo or header image, nor images added to html modules. The paths to the images are correct (i.e. /portals/1/mypic.jpeg) and they are listed in the File Manager, but they do not appear on the site and I get a 404 error when trying to open in a new w8indow by themselves.

The file manager shows the files and the path when I try to "get URL", but they do not load and show a 404 error when I click on them in the File Manager.

I have checked the images' permissions and all looks right.

I have also uploaded a new image with a new name and placed it in an html module and it does not appear.

It is as though the connection between the site and the root image folder has been severed.
