Hello DNN folks,

I've being using DNN 05.04.04 for a long period of time and we are now planning to migrate to a greater version.

I want to do this as smooth as possible, but I want to ask to the community if someone have done this in the past.

My particular questions are:

1) Should I make the database migration directly from 05.04.04 to 07.02.02 to needs some intermediate migration in the process, like the 06.x.x branch?

2) Skins: Any particular considerations I have to keep in mind for customized skins?

3) I have a lot of custom desktop modules, is the DotNetNuke.dll assembly backward compatible between the versions? what are the most noticeable changes in the API?
