I'm looking for a module that allows site members to upload content such as a pdf, doc, xls, etc. ; describe what it is they just uploaded and have others comment on it and it all would show up in a search.

The journal module was almost perfect for me in that they could describe what they uploaded and then upload a file.  Others could then comment on it and/or "like it".  However the content nor descriptions show up in searches even in 7.3.  I think it's because the content uploaded/shared/described doesn't have a separate page that it appears on.  Ideas?
