I was hoping to get a little help with ContentItems. I have looked at the Blog post here...

Does this information still apply to DNN 7+ or has it changed somewhat?

Are there any good resources for learning how to use ContentItems?

Are ContentItems a generic way to hook any structured data such as a Product Entity into Searchable, Taxonomy and Folksonomy functionality?

Can I use a ContentItem to represent a Product Entity so I can tap into the DNN Workflow functionality?
