I've enabled the DNN-based GZIP compression on our DNN PRO installation, but have recently been forced to turn it off as 2 of my customers are unable to view site content with that settings enabled. They don't get a 404 - just a blank browser window with a generic "an error occurred while processing your request" message.
We've tried various browsers - same result. If I turn off the gzip compression they can see the site.
My hunch is this has something to due with a security appliance (firewall, content filter, etc) that is sitting on their end, but in both cases they were using different equipment makes/models.
Has anyone else ever seen this behavior? Any suggestions?
If I can't use the GZIP compression built into DNN - I look to do it at the IIS level or use the upcoming Client Resource Management functionality in 6.2.
Also - you can't search for the words GZIP or COMPRESSION in this Q&A module.
