Running DNN 5 website, everything has been fine for ages.
I had two modules in the footer for Contacting Support and Links to other Apps. They were created on the home page and set to "Display on All Pages".
That worked fine. Recently I deleted one. All existing pages on my site are showing footer correctly, per first screenshot.
Recently I have been created many pages that are similar so I exported a few pages as templates to make that job simpler.
Suddenly for whatever reason, any new pages created based on ANY template or from copying an existing page or from creating from default template.. they all are created with multiple instances of the two footer modules, like 20 of them. And this is including the second module that I deleted a while ago. I deleted the "App Pages" one (in the second screenshot below) a while back.
I cannot manually delete the extras one by one everytime I create a page, it is MORBIDLY time-consuming.
I checked the content of the Default page template, and all the templates I created and it doesn't show anything about displaying those modules many times.
I deleted all footer modules entirely from the site... and STILL when creating a new page from Default template or any template or copying a page that doesn't even have these modules... the new page has 20 or so of these two stupid modules.
PLEASE HELP. I cannot spend 1/2 hour stupidly deleting these modules every time I create a page.
