Is there a way at all user/host/admin  can edit and change the name of an existing group? if not is there away to delete an existing group?

i have spent the past 4 hour trying to figure out how to change the group name with out going through the data base and there seem not to be anyway.

then i decided to delete it to recreate the social group with a new name, but there seem not to be anyway at all to perform this operation!

this is urgent so i'll be grateful if i can get a reply asap.
