One of the most valuable features of a CMS is its ability to generate new content types without programming. You need an easy way to define the fields you want in a new content type (name, description, type, date, files associated, ...), and an easy way to create templates: at least one for the index (with search, order and pagination capabilities) and another one for the detail page. The kind of templates should be very flexible, maybe based on xHTML or something else. Of course you should define the roles that can create data on the defined content type via the form that should appear once the fields are specified.
I have worked with other CMS that include this kind of functionality by default, for free, but I haven't eveer seen it on DNN. I have more and less achieve it with some extra modules (not free) but even with these modules, my experience was not as good as in other CMS where it was easier.
Lately I have been reading about the form and list module and it seems that the module has evolutionated very much and it maybe can fill my needs, but I haven't tried it yet.
what do you think about it?
Thank you very much
