Hi. I am looking for an opinion on something I am thinking of pursuing. I am going to shortly be using the APM features of Microsoft's System Center (SCOM). It basically instruments .NET apps. I am new to this particular APM toolset. What I was thinking of doing was installing DNN and then pointing SCOM's APM at it to familiarize myself with the product.
I am more of a packet analysis person then a dev so I am only slightly familiar with apps. So....
1. Does this seem like a reasonable way to proceed?
2. Can the DNN automated install put the SQL part on a separate server? (I want the app on 2 servers for testing and packet capture purposes)
3. Is there some automated manner to generate traffic to a default DNN environment?
4. Any suggestions on how to go about doing this?
Thank you for any assistance rendered. cd
