I upgraded a site to 7.2.1 and I really like the new user registration notification that is sent out.  I have a question that I cannot seem to figure out, and that is how to configure the email.

It has a link on the bottom for Twitter and Facebook, however I cannot figure out where to change that.  Do I do that in the language editor, or is it hidden somewhere else.  Also, it has the copyright notice from 2013 on the bottom and the site is set up so that it automatically puts the correct year at the bottom (copyright notice left blank)

I would like to fix the copyright notice and setup the correct links for Twitter and Facebook.  Any pointers?

that's a mistake, and will be removed in 7.3.0 AFAIK (originally it was planned to inject values into that). To remove it now, either under admin->languages, or via the file itself App_GlobalResources\GlobalResources.resx) look for the EMAIL_MESSAGING_DISPATCH_BODY.Text key and you can edit and remove the lines.

That's too bad. I like the format and the integration.

Thanks for letting me know. I will do some editing.

I think the confusion came in as there are profile properties for twitter/facebook, but as that's a site wide email which user should be set (e.g. should it be the site admin - and what happens if they change). Really what we should do is allow them as site settings, and then add the links as needed, but as that's obviously more work that's why it was skipped - and sadly the dev forgot to remove the existing text which is really a placeholder from the design. I imagine we'll do it at some later point, but we've more important things to focus on - that said, as you can edit the resx you can easily amend it to what you need.

Cathal,

Just to let you know, it's still there in 7.3.4... (an upgraded site that is)
