I am also running into this problem. Is there a way to force the Edit Profile page to use the Edit skin?

I never found an answer.

I feel like the more logical answer would be for DNN to make an "Edit Profile Tab ID" setting and break apart the profile editor components into separate modules (or a single module with a bunch of definitions. That way, sites could customize their profile management to a much greater degree.

I actually find it frustrating that I have to have DNN's "Email management" component and can't use a custom one - because we use a different process for our newsletters. Related to that, it would be nice to have a way to add other things to the profile manager for custom modules. For us, as an example, it would be great to have an "Areas of Expertise" component. We can do that, but we can't build it in to DNN's profile editor.
