OK... obviously I do not have any intention on modifying this web-site!

Thanks for you help...

Hi Mariette - a lot of that CSS file was actually my work - I know it pretty well.  There have been some changes since DNN version 5... and certainly the toolbar portion has changed - that's the part that I'm trying to style.

I can't locate anything in that css that allows me to change the buttons used in the Toolbar - or the paging buttons... and others - it looks like they have been "hard-wired" - which baffles me since we spent a lot of time ensuring that the entire forum could be skinned.

Whats the point having blue buttons on a green skin?

PS:  I'm looking at Active Skin as well - but it seems not as "skin-able" as the old forum...  unless I want to start doing all the html tokens all over again... that seems like a LOT of work.

Hi Richard,

You can only over-ride skin element/attributes if the skin.css itself has that element - and generally, the forum specific classes were never put on skin.css. (And this is true in the current version 7 default skins - I just checked.)

The forum used to have a switch that activated toolbar buttons - or not. It seems that this has been removed and so the buttons are now "hard-wired"... So - I'm trying to find out where they are hard wired... so I can re-wire them! LOL!

Well... learned quite a bit here - thanks all on the patience and clarifications.... appreciate that!

On the other hand - this is still an open topic... I would dearly like to know how to style the DNN Forum 5.0.3 - the core forum module that is currently available under "More Extensions" of the Host > Extensions page.

Anyway have any luck at this?
