Ok, we are very close to publishing out first DNN7 responsive site.I am now looking at setting up  Google analytics which needs doing after the domain name is transfered to new site.

Is there any built in modules that show reports on which documents/pages have the most hits etc.

It would be nice if the site administrators can run these type of reports as I am not sure if Google anyltics goes to these levels.

Just a quick question on SEO. In other CMS I would probaly structure the Page title similar to this fictional:
" Acme Wood Lathe | www.woodturning .com  - setting up an Acme wood lathe"
In all the bits I have read on DNN and SEO I have never seen this mentioned? is this still a good practice?

Stuart,

there is something under Admin :: Site Log. If this is not enough, there are some reporting/analysis tools in the store (http://store.dotnetnuke.com).

If you have a look at the Stored Procedures that are called by the Site Log module, you will find out the basics of this reporting. I did some reports based on this and going to a deeper analysis by using SQL Server Reporting Services - if you know the table names and structures that are involved, this is quite easy to do. (e.g. Page Views of child pages in a specific area etc.)

Before you ask me: These reports are very specific and rely on TabIDs within our own structure, so it is not really possible to share them.

Best wishes

Thanks Michael.
The site log reports are not enabled on the server so need to figure out how to enable first, but they do have a number of reports that should do the trick..

I will look at the stored procedure and maybe develop up some kind of tabular reports they can view.

Stuart,

to enable the site log reports, login as host and goto Admin :: Site Settings :: Advanced Settings :: Host Settings, and enter a number of days in the field "Site Log History (Days)". Don't use a too high value as the site log table will use more and more space which will affect the overall performance, esp. if it is a well-visited site.

Best wishes
Michael
