The only shoutbox module I was able to find is this one: http://www.bitethebullet.co.uk/Shoutbox.aspx

I was wondering if there are other alternatives.  I'd like to add a shoutbox at the top of the site, under the navigation menu replacing the site banner.  I have seen many forums have a live shoutbox at the top; I'm looking to implement something similar.

You could use QPoke for that.  It also includes the ability to allow users to download Windows and Google Gadgets so they can see new posts as they are posted.  There is also a Windows Tray application you can install to monitor the posts as well.

Hello,

I am also finding shoutbox and I could not find a one from anywhere. The Ventrian modules had one and it is too old now and it is outdated. Also they have mentioned it as a retired project.

The above bitethebullet shoutbox module is not available to purchase or download. It has a dead purchasing link now.

The above Qpoke module is not what I want as it is not like the shoutbox.

Please can anybody help for this?

Please can you advise to fnd if there is any similar good Shoutbox module?

We used to sell shoutbox module you mentioned on the DnnStore, this is an example of how it works.

There are lots of implements you can make! Add icons/more ajax etc etc
