I don't have a DNN 7 with a child portal that I can test with here at work so I'll have to try to check it out tonight but before I go too crazy checking it out.... Have you tried clearing your cache and cookies? Both your parent and child portals use the exact same process and code for autologin and then it's redirected back to whichever portal was first initiated the process. I just want to make sure there's nothing in the cache and cookies that might be blocking the autologin on the child site.

Okay.. just tested it and you're right.. autologin isn't working with a child site. :( Capturing with Fiddler it is getting redirected to windowssignin.aspx like it should be but not logging the user into the correct portal (they actually show up in the parent portal as being logged in). The weird thing at this point is that it's working with my DNN 6 test site that's running 5.0.5. I need to test further to see if it's because the user account was there already or if it's a difference between DNN versions.

Did you have it working with a previous version or is this a fresh install of the provider?

We never used this provider before so it is a fresh install. Another thing i have tried was making a new portal page not as a child, and the same thing is happening. It goes through the windowssignin.aspx but it either gives an error or just loads to the unregistered user version of the portal

rcastilla, what version of the provider are you using? What version of DotNetNuke? What pipeline mode are you running under? If you're running under integrated did your run the two commands that are explained in the readme.txt when you installed the provider (also explained in the Integrated Pipeline Mode section of the documentation http://dnnauthad.codeplex.com/documen...)?
