We just upgraded to 7.0 and not sure if I noticed this before, but under Admin\User Accounts, it shows all the users with domain\user as there username. This makes it so if you click on one of the letters it finds nothing or searching u find nothing.

So my question, how do you get rid of the domain\ in front of the username. Our users do not use the domain to log in they are auto logged in.

Brian,

I think there is no way to get rid of it. The domain is defined in the settings of the AD provider and used to identify domain users (vs "normal" users that you usually have, like "host" etc.).

The AD provider works a bit different than other additional providers that match a LiveID-, Facebook- etc.account to an existing account in your userbase. The AD provider creates an AD user (identified by the string "DOMAINNAME\" at the beginning), and does not need to match to another user. The password for this user is coincidal (from a DNN point of view) as the provider trusts the AD that the user is valid.

Best wishes
Michael
