I'm in the process of migrating 5 sites for a customer from a xcart installation to DNN.

All sites used http://www.{thesite.co.nz}/store/cart... as the url for the home page.

I need to set up a redirect from that url to http://www.{thesite.co.nz}/default.aspx

What is the easiest way to achieve this?

cheers

MartyNZ

If I am right you want to migrate x-Cart sops to a DNN solution.  To start to migrate you have to install DNN as the Basis and look to a shopping solution with the Features you need.  There are alot Shopping Card modules availible some as open source and free solutions you could find on the Forge or on Codplex.  Other Commercial solutions could be find on the DNN shop.

About I didn't know about X-Cart, you ahve to look if you could run any MS SQL Scripting to transfer the data from the old database to the new one, or working with an Export/Import script on file base.

DNN Basesystem needs a Windows Hosting and a MS SQL Server Database for Installation.

Thanks for the reponse Matthias, but you have completly missed the point in question.

I didn't ask how to migrate from xcart to DNN. I've already done that.

What I need to know is how do I get DNN to respond to a request for  the page /store/cart(.)php by redirecting the user to the home page of DNN.

You can use the URLRewrite module of the IIS to perform the URL Rewrite and Forward those site calls to the now one.  See www.IIS.Net for help.
