Thanks Jan! I used the install version 4.7.0 and it worked successfully. But I'm still unable to figure out my initial problem with using the StarterKit.

So far here are the different scenarios I've done:

1. DNN 4.7.0 Source + Store Module 2.1.0 Source = successful build in VS 2005 SP 1

2. DNN 4.7.0 Install + Store Module 2.1.0 Source = succussful build

3. DNN Web Application Framework template (DNN 4.7.0 StarterKit) + Store Module 2.1.0 (in the Available Module section under Host > Module Definitions) = unsuccessful build in VS 2005

The third scenario is the one I'd like to try to get working because it would be the most convenient to setup and because I don't need to have the source for DNN or the Store.

Hi bianchi007,
if you don’t need to customize any source code (core, nor store … ) why do you need to build the application? Can you explain this?

Hi

I have the same problem as bianchi. The problem is when I use the starter kit, get my web site up and running. Then add the Store module, if I build my website again then it breaks (looks like code behind is missing).

The point is that even though you're right, I dont need to build my application again, if I DO build it again, then my website is broken. Thats bad.

Yes, I can explain why I need to build.

I'm using the DNN StarterKit for the foundation of my website. This builds successfully. I install the Store module. Then I can't build my web application.

I need to the DNN and the store module to build successfully before I continue development. Even though I don't plan on modifying the core or store module....I do plan on building my own skins and containers and possibly building my own modules (using the DNN module templates). But before I begin building my own modules, I need the foundation of DNN along with the Store module to build successfully.

Hi,
if I understand your issue, you would like to setup one environment for all your dnn related development work. This is of course possible and yes, you can also build the site if you are willing doing so. But, generally: designing skins (inclusive containers) or custom modules development doesn’t require the site building.
