I'm having some difficulty with a new site I've set up where I've added the Events module. I'll admit I'm a bit of a DNN noob, but consider me stumped on this one. Although I swear it worked previously (since I have probably 40 events on the calendar), now when hitting the '+' to create a new event near the top right of the module I get an error in IE of 'cannot display webpage' (if I use Chrome, hitting button doesn't do anything). However, if I hit Manage / Add Event (in both browsers), Add Event pops right up. I'm currently logged in as Site Administrator.

While I don't mind the workaround, my issue is that I need to assign certain users ability to add events, and I'd rather not give them full rights to edit the module in order to access the Manage button.

Any ideas what could be going on? To further isolate the issue, I tried creating a new calendar altogether and tried with same exact result. I also just updated to the latest 6.0.3 (from 6.0.2) with no change.

Hi Kelvin,

Have you checked it on the default skin, often this type of problem relates to something in your site skin.

Also check to see if there are any errors in the event log.

Cheers
Roger

No, I haven't tried that, but I'll give it a shot.

BTW: I got an error when I tried submitting this last night, so I resent another on this morning. Since I assume you're the moderator, can you delete my duplicate entry?

Thanks, Roger!

Thanks for the suggestion, Roger, but it looks like I'm getting the same result. I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing with regards to Skins, but I went to Admin/Skins and the only one I have listed is DarkKnight (which I think is what it came with). I went to the bottom of page and hit Restore Default Skin. Is that was you were suggesting I do?

I was able to download some other skins and get them installed, so I can see them in the Skins dropdown, but they're all a little over the top for me. If you think its still a skin issue, I can keep looking for some more...

For what its worth, problem seems to be whenever I add a second Event module to the page (regardless of settings). If I add Event module to another page, it doesn't cause any issues.
