At first, I just upgrade jQueryUI from 1.8.16 to 1.8.22 and that fixed the problems for FireFox and Chrome. But we found today there are still problems with IE9. So, we've currently got our sites configured with hosted versions of jQuery 1.7.2 and jQueryUI 1.8.22. It's generally a better idea to use hosted versions than local versions as hosted versions should decrease page load time because of increased odds that the user has the file already cached and because the CDN should make it a quicker download.

David, thanks good post with good detail from your experiences. We have tried based on your settings and also find this to be the most stable across multiple popular browsers.

Thanks

Remember that right now in DNN the hosted urls (as well as local urls) all have a custom querystring parameter on them, so that negates any potential benefit for "previously cached".

While technically it doesn't completely negate it, due to the randomness of the parameter #s across installs, it is FAR less likely to prove beneficial.
