I think the reason for this is, when you use the google api version of jquery like this: 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.min.js' then google uses the latest most stable release of jquery, in this case the 1.8.0, but the version we want to use is the 1.7.2. so what I think google just did, was to upgrade the library from 1.7.2 to 1.8.0, thereby breaking the sites. So what we did, was to use the google api version 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7/jquery.min.js' and telling google to use the 1.7.2 version of jquery. This works fine with the jquery-ui api version 1.8.16.

Setting the version explicitly did not work for me. I guess it depends on DNN version as well.

I've found it easier to just uncheck the box to use hosted jquery.

 That's right.

Also using local copy of JQ, seems to give a lot better score in Google Chrome PageSpeed. Not sure why.

I was getting 80-84 and now around 90 !

I am having this same issue. One big problem I am having, is that we disable Default Authentication so that users can log in using Active Directory Login without seeing the "Standard" button.

Because of the Jquery Bug, the popup is not working and I cant enable it to log in as the host and fix the Jquery hosting!! Does anyone know where I need to go to enable it in the database tables manually?
