I am running a site in DNN 6.2.2. After logging in to the site as host, some pages I go to on the site require me to log in again. I have made no unusual settings on the site or the pages in question. After logging into one of the pages requiring the second login I can browse to any page in the site without having to log in again. This also happens to administrators. If I log out of the site and then log in again, the second login is not required. Any clues as to what is going on here?

Could you check to see if the pages that are asking you to login again are using a different portal alias?

ex: example.com versus www.example.com

That would be my guess as to why you are getting prompted to login, perhaps hard coded URLs using one or the other.

You might want to setup your Portal Aliases to have one that is the default and setup a redirect there to that default alias. (via the site settings)

This explanation makes sense under the circumstances under which I created this site. I have a master portal (for example: master.com) and when I create new sites I do so as master.com/newsite until the site is ready to go live. At that point I add the new alias (newsite.com) to the site settings. Most of the pages in question were created after I added the new alias and the admin logged in to newsite.com. Anyway, I set the default alias (I learned something, didn't know I could do this) and the problem appears to be gone. Thanks for your help.
