Hello DNN gurus,

I have a client that wants registered users, without administrator privileges, to be able to upload files using the file manager. This is what he had to say:

"What we want is to be able to limit what they can edit and access like a
registered user but also be able to upload files in the file manager. Right
now a registered user can not upload a picture from a text module if they
try to insert a picture as the admin would."

Does anyone know if this is possible? The only solution I can think of is to give the users FTP access which is not the best case scenario.

Thanks in advance.

You can allow users to upload files in the HTML module by assigning them permissions to specific folders. You do this through the Admin File manager, select a folder and below the file manager you will find a permissions grid in which you can assign permissions to specific roles.
