Hi Cathal,

I will try to reproduce this upgrade and let you know.

Hi Cathal,

I just upgraded a site from 6.1.5 to 6.2, there it happens. On another site it was from 5.6.1 to 6.2, and another one from 5.6.6 to 6.2 - everywhere the same.

I do not find it a bad idea to have the message center on the profile page, but it should be invisible if the user is not the one in the querystring instead of redirecting. That would solve the problem.

Best wishes
Michael

Hi Cathal,

The user profile page is the standard page preselected by DNN.I realized that the page name is "Benutzerprofl" (as the dropdownlist in the Site Settings is obviously localized), and the page name is "User Profile". I changed it to the German title, but that did not help in any way.

It is not true in may case that this only affects "old" users that were registered before the update to 5.2. The same thing also happens for users that were registered after the update.

I changed the profile page in the admin settings to any other page and changed it back - no change in the behaviour.

I created a new page on the site with a ViewProfile module - after making it to the profile page in the admin settings this seems to work, but is exactly the opposite of the solution in the other thread.

Best wishes
Michael

 Good work Cathal and Michael,

I've followed this to create a temporary solution (well maybe temporary). I created a new profile Page "Member Profile, added the viewprofile module to it, set the default template in module's Edit Settings, and then removed the page from the menu. I then set this as the User Profile Page under Site Settings Advanced. I also set the page to Registered users only.

Just remember the viewprofile module displays "object not set.... " error. Don't be alarmed as it will work when navigated to from the Member Directory.

I still have two problems though.

1. The Load More button at the bottom displays user who are not registered wit the portal. They must be registered with another portal on my sight. Disabling Paging on the Member Directory fixes this problem.

2. Avatar images are not working. The profile pics work, but the avatar images in the Member Directory and on the skinobject show a missing image symbol. I've tried several fixes and nothing seems to work. Neither URL's with or without the '/home/ work. Not sure what the problem is.

Thanks,

Mark

AFAIK the load more dialog integrates with your user, so if you are a host you see users for all portals. As for the 2nd issue, I believe it's fixed in 6.2.1 and was a problem associated with the url for the default portal (and had a 2nd issue associated with behaviour of child portals)
