I dont know if I am violating any sort of forum rules here or not. Didnt see anything that would lead me to believe that I am. Forgive me if I am in the wrong here, but maybe someone could help me.

I am in need of a server administrator that can help me manage a server I will be acquiring soon. DNNPower server. Anyone that would be willing to help me with this would be most appreciated. I just dont know where to look for this kind of assistance...

Can someone lead me to where I need to go? You can email me if you can help me with this issue..

Whomever you're getting your server from should have documentation of what to do and a support staff to help answer your questions.

I'm assuming it's PowerDNN - in which case  you should have some slick tools and been given a lot of documentation which should help guide the way.  Their support staff is also quite knowledgeable.  A quick search of their Knowledge base may likely answer some of your specific questions too.

PowerDNN uses the Parallels / Plesk hosting management system - it has superb tools that help you manage your server.

But to be honest - for the most part about the only time you really need to access it is when managing email accounts.
Or if you want to manage your own offsite backup systems.

Pretty much everything else you need to do on a daily basis is managed from inside DNN itself  which i would assume is how the content for your site is being delivered.

The live support team is also very good - and there is a secondary option of paid admin support for those tasks that may fall beyond the scope of the live support team.

As such powerdnn themselves would be your best first port of call for admin support.  Beyond that - we have a number of clients running on powerdnn  - and would be happy to have a talk to you - drop me an email @ wtatters@live.com.au

Cheers

Westa
