hi all. i'm running dnn 6 with sql server 2005 on a separate server.

When I try to launch the dashboard from the Host menu i get this error:
A critical error has occurred. Property accessor 'ShortFileName' on object 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Dashboard.Components.Database.DbFileInfo' threw the following exception:'StartIndex cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: startIndex'

I looked around the forum a bit and it seems there is some sort of permission issue here. I am unclear what I need to change to fix the problem though.

I have tried giving the SQL Server account full permission to the DNN database to no avail. Since my database is on a different server, do I need to create a network user account and give it some kind of permissions?

Thanks in advance for any help

Possibly simpler question: is there a way to just uninstall and reinstall the dashboard module? I think I may have already messed it up trying to fix it, anyway.
