Hi,

When I insert bullet points in the new DNN6 RadEditor, all looks well in the editor but saving outdents the text flush with the left border and the bullet points are outside of the border.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

TIA

please take a look at the output in something such as firefox (using firebug), you may well just be seeing the bullets taking on a style defined in a core css file

When using the radeditor you are running in a separate iframe window to the main dnn site.
By default this iframe is passed a stylesheet that is rarely totally representative of the style elements in your site.
And is some cases it is way of the mark - depending on how the css for your site is configured.

The BEST option is to create a separate editor.css file that contains all the style elements that related to your site - and upload this file to your skin folder.  In the HTML Editor Manager - you then change the css option from its default of editor.css to /editor.css - this tells the radeditor to load the editor.css file in the ROOT of your skin folder and use it for the style sheet to be rendered when editing.

This will give you pretty much 100% wysiwyg in the html editor.  MAKE SURE though that you include All the elements the effect your look at feel.

Thanks Cathal and Westa for your help.

To be quite honest, this sounds a bit strange. I've always used the FCK Ediotr and I never had any problems with it not doing what is standard, in this case bullet points are expected to be indented. Who expects bullet points to display outside of the left margin? I could cope with them being flush but outside is just weird.

I'm someone who is more than happy to use DNN as it stands with no modifications apart from adding different skins and the odd third-party module. The resolution for this is, quite frankly, a bit drastic (for me) for such a simple element that should work the way it is expected.

Can you recommend an editor that just works without having to make any css chages like the old FCK Editor?

Actually, I've just tried it in my usual skin and it works perfectly in that.

It's just the Dark Knight skin that it doesn't work as expected..
