Hello,

I'm writing a organization membership system and I think it might make sense to have the actual purchases done through the existing store modules. However, it will be important that, when a purchase is made, I can have some code execute to update the membership stuff.

Does anybody know if that's possible - if not with the "Store" module, maybe with nb_store, or some other provider?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

With the Store module you can assign a role to a product, when this product is payed the corresponding role is added to the customer user account. If your customer cancel his order, the role is removed from his user account.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Gilles,

Thanks for responding. I'm aware of the role membership stuff, but I was wondering how I can tell an adjoining system that a purchase was made. I would need to do some things beyond just role membership.

Do you happen to know if anything like that is possible?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

To do that, you have to modify the source code and create your own version. In the DotNetNuke.Store.Customer projet you will found the OrderController class. You have to add your own requirements in the methods: CreateOrder and UpdateOrder.
