Hi Gilles, excellent module and good support given in the forums.

I have a customer site running DNN 05.01.04 and Store module 3.0.0, the site is live but the store is not yet.
Core Language Pack = English (United Kingdom) (Host and Admin Extensions page)
Admin Settings - Advanced Settings - Other Settings - Default Language = English United Kingdom
Admin Settings - Advanced Settings - Other Settings - Portal Timezone = (UTC 00:00) Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London

All users set for Preferred Locale English (United Kingdom) and Time Zone = London

I have the store working ok using PayPal Sandbox and all seems to be processing ok.

However I have noticed on a few screens that the date format is US format rather than UK format. For example when logged in as a buyer and checking Order History I get Order Date and Status Date dated ( date actually is 30-Jun-2011) as 06/30/2011 instead of 30/06/2011. When logged in as Store Admin and checking Orders I again get US format instead of UK. In contrast however if I check the dates on a Featured Product then they are correctly shown in UK format.

I've been through all settings I can find but I can't seem to find out what's going on.

Any help anyone can provide is appreciated.

Best regards,

Alan

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your kind comments! :-)

Because I'm French, I'm aware of localization problems and normally each date and price use the current culture to format the value displayed.
In the Store 3.0 version a lot of code has been changed, may be I missed someones here. I can reproduce the same problem with US/French locales, I will provide ASAP a new version.

Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Alan,

I have found why you encounter this problem! When I tried to reproduce your problem, I have just added the French locale to my fresh DNN/Store install. Because the French Store Language Pack was NOT installed, I encountered the same problem! This is the normal behavior because DNN fall back to the default system locale when a Language Pack is not installed. I suppose you have enabled the English (GB) from Admin > Language but NOT created a GB language pack for the store module!

Login to your website as host, go to Admin > Languages then click on the pencil in the 'System' column to the left for the English (GB) row locale. In the tree view to the right, expand Local Resources > DesktopModules > Store > App_LocalResources and select CustomerOrders.ascx. Locate the resource named 'OrderDateFormat.Text' and change them to the desired date format (dd/MM/yyyyy HH:MM), click on 'Save Resource File'.

Hi Gilles, thank you for your speedy replies. Sorry I've been tied up on other stuff. I do indeed have English (GB) enabled in Admin>Language and as far as I know I have not installed or created a GB language pack for the Store Module.

I have tested out your solution and that works great.

Once again many thanks for the speedy and informative response to my post.

Best regards,

Alan
