Gilles...

I assuem this is an issue with my DNN not send the message out or the client is missing these messages due to issues with their ISP or junk mail filter... but they are stating the following in regards to the store email fuinction:

We just received the attached emails concerning an order that was placed.  We did not receive an actual order just the status change emails.  This has happened before.

These catalog problems as of late are becoming numerous and frustrating.

the site seems to function fine... I can send emails from the site via the newsletter module without issues. Any thoughts... I'm not sure where to go with this. Thanks for any insight.

Here is another email from my client. Though this might help.

In the email that I sent you (previously) it has two attachments.  Which was for order #1330.  Those messages were time stamped as Wed 09/22/10 10:02 AM and Wed 09/22/10 10:04 AM.  They were the exact same email.  They were the Change of Status email.  We did not receive an email concerning what the actual order was for.  The only way I found out was by logging into the website and looking up the actual order number.

When an order is received by us (normally), we receive two emails.  One is the actual order and the Awaiting Status email (previously attached).  In this instance and in the past we did not receive the actual order.

So you are telling me that you show the system as actually sending both the actual order (copy of one is attached) and the awaiting status email (previously attached)?

There is nothing in my Junk / Spam email nor in anyone else’s that receives this email.

Hi JD,

Like you my first idea is that's a problem related to some spam filter, because there is no reason than your client receive the 'Changed Status' email and NOT receive the 'Order Confirmation' email. Both emails are sent in the same code part!
Have you changed some resources for the selected gateway provider? Tell me which Store version is installed.

thank you for your help on solving this issue. For anyone esle that was having issues with something similar you might have
  1. Go to Admin > Languages
  2. Under your local language select the blue pencile under the site column
  3. Expand Local Resources > Desktop Modules > Store > Providers > Gateway Providers
  4. In my case I was using the email provider - so I went into EmailProvider > App_LocalResources
  5. Click on EmailPayment.ascx
  6. On the right side you will see a listing of various resources
  7. I had issues with the OrderEmailHeader.Text

The corrected text that should be placed here is:

Thank you for placing an order with {0}. Please find below an order number and a summary of your order. You can check the status of your order at any time by logging into our site and clicking the "{1}" link. If you have any questions about your order, please feel free to contact us at {2}, or simply reply to this message.

I am not sure why this exactly fixes the issue of the emails not coming through, but I placed the above text over what I had and it seems to work fine.

Thank you again for the help. Gilles did a great job discovering this issue.
