I am looking for a basic chat module for DNN 5.4.2  I downloaded and installed the latest version of the chat module but it crashed my site and I had to restore a backup to get it up and running again.  Anyone have any timelines as to when a new chat module might be available?  Since I am only look for basic functionality I was hoping to just use a project version rather than a commercail chat room.

SwirlChat has a ton of potential, but falls on its face in production and support is miserable. Don't take my word for it, go look at their support forums and see how many inquiries are unanswered. I took the plunge anyway and now I'm incredibly disappointed (though I shouldn't be, I saw the risk).

I've been hunting for a couple months now and can't find anything nearly as polished (in theory anyway) as SwirlChat. If any DNN Module developers are reading this, get on the ball! I'm ready to buy and I'm sure there are plenty others out there. All the other clients I've seen don't look complete and/or lack real management features (moderators, banning, etc..). There's definitely a market here. If anyone else reading this knows of a module we're obviously not seeing (hence my request above), please let us know about it. I'll throw in a $20 finders fee if it's anywhere near as good as SwirlChat would be if it worked, and is DNN5 compatible. I'd pay $50 for the module itself without a doubt, as much as $100 if it really shined.
