Is there a way to make one portal display all items in a drop down menu list?  I am trying to run a donation part of the site where they can easily select a donation amount and check out.

Would be nice to be able to run donation items where we can let users enter an amount between two set amounts as well ( 5-100, No less than 10...)

Just a feature thought if not.

Hi William,

The Store module can't be used for donation. You should have a look at Snowcovered, they are sevaral modules doing this.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hello Gilles,

I actually just replaced the buy now with a donation image button and took away any other links to anything so that it would just go to checkout from the donation amount.  I can probably code a simple donation page I suppose easier than fooling with this.  Just was thinking thinking I could use a CC gateway out of the box with this, now I know I need to produce a provider for a merchant account.

Sure snowcovered has a lot of modules but I dont see anything free or worth risking $$ over just for a site that will be up until November.  It seems anything I use I am dissappointed by one way or another...

Thank you for the reply.

William

Hi William,

For a simple donation button, you can do the same with a Text/HTML module look at here. I agree than some modules are commercials but at least the one from Apollo Software is free!

Is there a way to do a donation yet.. user enters the amount into a textbox?

Using text/html, isn't a ecommerce module.. no recording of payments, emails, etc.
