Hi all,

I am trying to install DNN 5.2.2 on a shared hosting service and they will not grant access to NETWORK SERVICE account for my application folder.  I am trying to use identity impersonate in web.config.

When I begin the installation, the wizard stops at the place where it checks whether the folder permission is granted to NETWORK SERVICE, the wizard cannot move forward with the installation.  Because of this, I chose the option of auto installation so that the wizard will not stop the installation.

Now, the installation starts and halfway through, it stop with a folder permission error.

Is there something I am missing or are there other steps I need to take when using identity impersonate?

Thanks!

Hi, I'm getting the same error, and the same problem with another share hosting. I wanted to know if you solved this problem and how did you do that?

Thanks.

Sorry I didn't get it to work.  I had to move to a different hosting company.  One thing you should double-check is the web.config is xml and xml is case sensitive for the True in the identity impersonate tag must be spelled "True" Upper case T, lower cases r, u and e...
