Hi.

How can I put the message token inside the category container? Because I've only the Category list, and I want to show the description after the category breadcrum.

Regards, João

Hi João,

As stated on pages 5 and 6 of the Templating Guide, the MESSAGE token can be used only in the main container. The category description field is a small text (500 chars) used as a tooltip when the mouse is over the category name in the Store Menu module. While the category message field is a rich text box used inside the MESSAGE token with the sub-categories list (if any). Could you confirm than you really need to display the category description inside the CategoryContainer.htm template? In this case, you could also need to display the category message and sub-categories list, no? My choice was to use the MESSAGE token to display category informations above the category product list. Because it seems logical to first display the category message and sub-categories before the category product list, may be I'm wrong?

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

You are not wrong Gilles! Current category message implementation with subcategory navigation is all-right.
