Hi,

First of all, you have to use a new version number for all projects and change the module version number in the manifest files: DNN Store.dnn and DNN StoreSkinObjects.dnn. Those manisfest are in their respective folder ...\Store_02.00.00_Install and ...\Store_02.00.00_SkinObjects_Install.

Leaving source on the server is totaly unnecessary, because the code files are NOT compiled "on the fly" like with WSP modules. However, to create a source package, please follow those steps:

  1. Build the solution under VS. You have to do a complete rebuild because each project uses its own post-compilation directives to move sources files to the right folder (...\Store_02.00.00_Source).
  2. Create a zip file named resources.zip with the ...\Store_02.00.00_Source content.
  3. Move this file to the ...\Store_02.00.00_Install folder.
  4. Open a DOS command prompt windows.
  5. Go to the folder ...\Store_02.00.00_Source and enter: del /f /s /q *.* (this will delete all files from this folder including sub folders).
  6. Open the file resources.zip then drag'n drop the empty folder ...\Store_02.00.00_Source inside.
  7. Open the file DNN Store.dnn to remove the comment chars before and after the line: <!--<resourcefile>resources.zip</resourcefile>--> (remove red chars).
  8. Save this file.
  9. Create a new zip file with the content of the folder ...\Store_02.00.00_Install and name it Store_02.xx.yy.Source.zip

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
