Hi,

The Store module version 02.01.26 beta RC is available at Codeplex! This release enhance support of GIF images with transparency. To be short, the .Net framework do not support GIF transparency natively. When GDI+ resize a GIF with transparency a black background is added. The only way is to use unsafe code, but most of hosting plan do not authorize unsafe code for security reasons. Please look at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/31906... for details. To workaround this limitation, a new setting has been added to the modules Store Catalog, Store MiniCart and Store Account. The 'GIF Background' setting allow you to define the color to use as background for GIF images with transparency.

This release as been submited today to the release tracker as version 02.02.01 for official release.

EDIT (12/3/2009): This version has been rejected from the release tracker today. I have to debug a strange problem occuring for the first time about an infinite loop before resubmit a new version.

IMPORTANT: If you have installed the beta 02.01.23 WITH sources (Store_02.01.23_Source.zip), please verify if a file named "Store_02.00.00_Source" exist in the ...\DesktopFolder\Store folder and delete it BEFORE upgrade!

All gateway providers has been reviewed for a better workflow at checkout. Moreover, the module is now XHTML compliant. Because I have rewrited all style sheets and template files, MAKE A BACKUP of your files BEFORE upgrade!!!

If you use the Store module with an other language than en-US, you have to create a localized version of graphics buttons. Please download and read the Templating Guide for more information.

For details about changes, look at the file History.txt inside the source zip.

At last, a dratf of the new Templating Guide rev 1.0.4 is available for web designers! Translators and administrators should read it too! ;-)

Download the file Store_02.01.26_Source.zip, extract the file resources.zip. You will find the history.txt inside. To use the source version do not place the source files 'by hand'! Please follow this guide.
