How do I delete sub categories from the dnn Store Menu module? I see there is a pencil next to the main category, but nothing next to the sub categories.

Accepted Answer

Go to: Store Admin -> Categories -> Edit. There is available the delete link.

Hi Christopher,

You can't delete nor edit sub categories from the Store Menu module, this is an old behavior because the first version of the module was not able to manage sub categories. You have to use the Store Admin module to manage all categories and products.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Note that “deleted” category is removed from database only if it is empty: no subcategories or contained products. Otherwise it is only marked as deleted and remains in database but it is hidden from user view.
