I am about to write my own payment gateway for the store module, but I cannot seem to locate the source files even in the source-package downloaded from Codeplex. Where's all the .ascx.vb files? How can I extend this store with no source files?

I thought this was open source?

Best regards,

Jonas Agertoft

source files are packed inside, simply install source package like install and you will see it.

I see them, but Gilles keep refering to a DotNetNuke.Modules.Store.Cart.PayPalProvider for example on how to implement a custom payment gateway. As far as I can see these payment providers are the only files compiled to a .dll file ex DotNetNuke.Modules.Store.Cart.PayPalProvider.dll. I cannot find the source and example for this provider.

Where can I find this, so I can make my own?

Best regards,

Jonas

Hi Jonas,

Because your number of posts, I suppose you are a beginer with DNN module dev. You have to know than you can create a dnn module using two different programing models:  WAP or WSP. This is NOT related to DNN, but to Visual Studio and .Net. The Store module use the WAP model. Most of dnn standard modules use the WAP model and provides two "flavor" of packages. The "Install" package named ModuleName_XX.YY.ZZ.Install.zip  (Store_02.01.25.Install.zip) NEVER contains sources when a module use WAP model. The "Source" package named ModuleName_XX.YY.ZZ.Source.zip  (Store_02.01.25.Source.zip) ALWAYS contains source code. Therefore, you must install the second package if you need to chane/adapt the source!

Please follow those steps:

  1. Dowload the last source package Store_02.01.25.Source.zip and Store_02.01.25_SkinObjects_Install.zip at Codeplex.
  2. Read this post (translate version numbers as needed, the process remaining the same). Please follow my advices about folder and virtual folder names.

Gilles

Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
