Hey all. I am a blind computer programmer. I need to move a module to a different pane while administering my dnn site. I cannot use the drag/drop feature. I also cannot use the actions java script hover menu for a module to select the module options item in the list. The java script hover drop down is not accessible for my screen reader. I can, however, adjust the querystring to point to what it needs in order to pull up the module options form that lets you use drop downs to move a module to a different pane. That works for my screen reader but I cannot get to it! Can someone please post me the URL for the module options form? Just click on actions, then on module options. When the next page appears, just copy/paste in the url so I can see the parameters and what the url is set at. I then can change the querystring accordingly. Thanks if anyone can help me out!

Justin,

I believe you are asking about the Module Settings correct?

When you go to the module settings for a module the URL becomes

/ctl/module/moduleid/###

where the ### is the ID of your module.

I hope that's what you are looking for, if not please let me know.

Chris

Hey Chris, Thanks much for the response. I was able to get to the module settings dialog prior to my post. What I am trying to figure out is how to get to a form that will let me move a module amongst the various panes: left/right/content/bottom etc. without using drag/drop. Is that ability on the module settings page? I cannot recall how I got to that form in the system, however, it was a form that showed me the panes in drop down controls so I could select the existing module on the page and then choose where to move it via drop down boxes and click update and it would post back and move the module for me. Thanks if you or anyone can help me find how to get to that form. If you have to use the actions menu, that little triangle, to get to that form, I cannot use the actions menu. This was why I was asking for the URL so I could adjust the querystring to get to it. Honestly though, I cannot recall how I got to that form that let me move the module on a page via drop down controls. Thanks man if you can help! /Justin

Chris, I found what I am needing. If you go to the module settings drop down, scroll down to the last item in the list, it is "move". If you click on move, that is the URL that I need. This URL I can adjust to my needs and it then will let me get to the move module form without using the module settings triangle graphic/java script pop out menu. Again, that little java script pop out menu is not accessible for blind users. Thanks Chris (or if anyone) can post the URL to the module settings -> move option. /Justin

Sorry Justin, I thought you were looking for those.

There is only one place I can think of, besides the actions menu, that you can use to get to "move" the module and that's when you place it on a page, up in the control panel at the top of the page. If you choose the "add existing module" option that might work for you as you can choose the module, then the pane in the dropdown. Though that isn't a unique URL, that's any page you are logged into with Edit Rights.

Let me know if that works for you!

Chris
