Hi,

We use a Web Farm using 4 Servers using NTFS to replicate the DotNetNuke Website with a SQL Server 2008 database server.

After upgrading to 5.1.2 I now have repeated errors in the event log.  I believe this issue to be caused by the BroadcastPollingCachingProvider but am unsure what to do. Can anyone assist me with what might be causing the issue and how I may fix it???

Error Message is pasted below and is the same message for "GENERAL EXCEPTION" and for "SCHEDULER EXCEPTION"

Thank you in advance for any assistance that you might be able to offer.

Regards

Mark

Did you install the script that is used to support the broadcastpolling provider?

Also, if using NTFS replication, you might look at using the file based provider....

Hi Mitch,

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply to my question.

In answer to your question - "Did you install the script that is used to support the broadcastpolling provider?" - As the site was working before the upgrade I have to assume that the member of staff previously responsible for the site had set up correctly.  However I performed the upgrade and simply pasted the ZIP File contents over the site folder on one of the webservers and then opened a browser for it to install itself.  I DID NOTHING ELSE...:(  Should I also run additional scripts?  And if so, would you be so kind as to tell me which ones? where do I find them? and how best to run them?

I apologise for my ignorance in the upgrade procedures, and greatly appreciate your assistance.

Many thanks

Mark
