Charlie,

I have been running DNN on ports other than 80 for some time.  This has allowed me to have multiple site in a development environment,.  Make sure you un-comment the following key in the web.config file:

<add key="UsePortNumber" value="true" />

However, beginning with DNN 5.1.1 this seems to be broken.  If you try and use a port other than 80, you can not navigate to any other page than the default.  You will get a 404 page not found error.  I have not been able to find out why this is happening and have recieved no solutions within the forum despite seeing others who have the same problem.   In my opion, this is a major issue.

Hope that helps,

Charles

The feature you need is in web.config, "key=UserPortNumber".  In my How To notes and checklist I have the following article saved.

I hope that helps - Jeremy
