I have tried everything to get the Date Calender Control to reflect the correct date format. It is currently reflecting the standard US format mm/dd/yyyy, but this site requires the standard New Zealand format which is dd/mmyyyy for both the control and the data when stored. I have changed all the locales to the correct (UTC +12:00) as well as made the defaul Language English - New Zealand.

What am I missing?

Hi,

You need to make sure your users profiles are changed to English - NZ, otherwise when they logon it will pick up from their profile. Also you can disable browser language detection in the Admin/Languages dialogue (in 4.9.4 anyway), since IE is often set up with en-US as the language.

So:-

  • Install en-NZ language
  • Change portal default language in Admin/Site Settings
  • Change user language in user profile
  • Disable browser language detection

You mention changing the locale to UTC +12. This isn't the locale, it is the timezone, and has no impact on date formattting. Language is the item that impacts date format.

Cheers
Roger
